Schools and universities

School safety is the result of a well-prepared system, clearly defined roles and people who know how to respond in various situations.

Univerzita

Schools are not designed as closed facilities, they are open spaces where education, community, and daily life intersect.

Today, the school environment faces threats that were rare until recently:

  • unauthorized entry and movement of unknown individuals on campus,
  • aggression by students or parents and confrontational situations during class,
  • anonymous threats, suspicious packages, and phone calls,
  • discovery of dangerous objects, knives, or improvised weapons,
  • situations requiring evacuation or, conversely, locking down the school.

Experience from incidents in the Czech Republic and security audits a reveal the same pattern: the problem is often not a single attacker, but an unprepared system, unclear roles, and staff improvisation.

SIHASO helps schools and universities put safety into practice-> clearly, calmly, and comprehensibly.

What schools deal with most often

  • Unclear entry regime and insufficient supervision of the movement of people,
  • aggression from parents, students or non-teaching visitors,
  • threats and suspicious shipments or traces in the online environment,
  • evacuation, hiding or lockdown without a clear division of roles,
  • missing or outdated crisis or documentation support,
  • the difference between "paper" procedures and what actually happens,
  • weakened communication with the founder, police and parents,
  • risks on trips and events outside the campus.

What we offer to schools and universities

  1. School security assessment

We inspect buildings, entrances, movement of people and visitor regimes. We map unattended areas, staff reaction capabilities and the school's overall preparedness to handle emergencies.
The output is an overview of strengths, vulnerabilities and priority measures.

  2. Security and crisis plans

We create and update documentation that corresponds to the school's operations, not a template.
We cover violent incidents, anonymous threats, finding dangerous objects, evacuation, hiding, lockdown and crisis communication.
The plans are designed to be immediately applicable in practice.

  3. Practical training and exercises

We carry out simulations of situations directly on school premises (without students), led by experts with experience.
We focus on decision-making under pressure, adequate response, communication, legal minimum, first aid and school team work.
This includes evaluating and adjusting procedures according to the reality of the school.

  4. Programs for different roles

We work with teachers, non-teaching staff and students – each has a different role and different responsibility.
For students, it is about safe behavior and prevention, for employees it is about recognizing risks, reporting incidents, leading the team and making decisions in crises.

  5. Extended services

Mystery audits, support in choosing technologies, assessing school events and supervision of premises through the AI supervision center SIHASO are available.
These services complement the basic measures and help the school move the level of safety systematically, step by step.
