Czech Security Forces Don’t Cooperate Enough During Mass Shootings
In an exclusive interview for CNN Prima NEWS, Paul H. Haertel, former FBI Deputy Assistant Director for crisis response, warns that mass shootings — once seen mainly as a U.S. problem — are increasingly appearing in Europe as well, including in the Czech Republic. He estimates that in recent years the Czech Republic has seen as many as three to four such incidents — and that the system is not prepared to respond adequately.
He criticizes uneven cooperation between security services, calls for higher preparedness, and highlights how an ordinary person can save lives. He recalls a case in Pennsylvania where someone in the crowd warned a police officer, preventing an even greater tragedy.
